History of the Garra Rufa
Since time dawned, the Garra Rufa is in perfect symbiosis with the physiology of the skin. The Garra Rufa, traditionally, provide a massage in warm water that rids the body of dead skin cells. According to local history, it was in Turkey that the phenomenon "Fish Spa" was born, 1660 m above sea level, in the Sivas province. Legend says that a shepherd wanting to take a bath in a natural hot spring, realized that many small black fish came bustling around him. Intrigued, he let them do their work, because he felt no pain.
